  • What is the benefit of the Phillips Screwdriver with ACR (Anti Cam-Out Rib) Technology? The ACR technology features ribs that keep the driver securely mated to the screw and prevents stripped/damaged screw and surfaces.

  • What makes the screwdriver float? Both the shaft and the handle are hollow; however, all Floating Screw Drivers have been subjected to and passed very stringent torque tests to industry standards for screwdrivers.

  • Why can't the Phillips Screw Floating screwdriver be used to pry objects? Because the shafts are hollow and will bend or break.

  • What kind of stainless steel is used in both the shaft and the driver bit? We use 304 stainless for the shaft and 420 stainless for the hardened tip.

  • How much torque can the Phillips Screw screwdriver apply? The Phillips Screw floating screwdriver can deliver the DIN and ANSI standard torque of: #1 Phillips=2.6ft lb; #2 Phillips=6.1 ft lb; and, #3 Phillips=14.4 ft lb.
Phillips Screw Compact Ratchet Set
  • What makes the Phillips Screw Compact Ratchet Set different from others on the market? Bits are held into the ratchet handle by magnetic force. Bits are made of a special kind of stainless steel that is both hardened and can be attracted by a magnet.

  • How many pieces should I have in my set - there's an empty hold in the holder, am I missing a part? There are 11 parts plus the plastic holder. So, including the holder, there are 12 parts.

  • Are the ratchet set bits stainless steel? The tip is made of 420 stainless steel. It is hardened to 50C Rockwell and it can be attracted by a magnet.

  • How can stainless steel be attracted by a magnet? Certain types of stainless steel can be attracted by a magnet and the 420 stainless steel bit is one of them.

  • How long will the batteries last? Batteries will last for at least one year. Replace with LR44 button cell batteries.

  • I've lost/misplaced my instructions how do I get another set? Operating instructions are available in the product information section of the Tradesberry Multi Tool website or you can contact Customer Services at customerservice@phillips-screwinnovation.com to receive another set of instructions.

  • Can I stop and start the unit or do I have to use all of the butane at once? The unit can be turned on and off at anytime.

  • Can I leave the cartridge in the unit when I'm through using it? Yes. No leakage will occur. It is preferable to keep the cartridge attached just to keep dust and dirt out of the unit.

  • How do I know that the soldering iron is on? The soldering iron / wood burner heat up quickly. You will notice the tip warming up within 10 to 20 seconds. However, do not touch the tip because it can burn you.

  • Where can I buy additional cartridges? Cartridges are available at the same retail store where you bought your product. You can also order them from this website.

  • I've lost/misplaced my instructions, how do I get another set?   • I want to send the Soldering Kit/Woodburning Kit as a gift. How can I ship the package with the butane cartridge? There is NO PROBLEM shipping the butane cartridge product by ground transportation only. There is a special label that must be used for any carton that contains a butane item. The label shows the package contains a Consumer Commodity (ORM-D) item. A sample of the label looks like this:
